| about the illustrator | Katie Kissane Viola is an illustrator/graphic designer and partner of Kissane Viola Design in Aspen, Colorado. Katie and her husband Paul Viola relocated from their native New York City to Aspen in 1998, where they were both art directors. They now run Kissane Viola Design where they specialize in web and publication design as well as logo identity and collateral design. Katie studied graphic design at the High School for Art and Design and Parsons School of Design, both in New York City. Then Parsons School of Design at the American University in Paris France, where she focused her studies on illustration. Aside from the several books she had illustrated for her five year old son John Paolo, this is her first children’s book. Katie worked closely with Vince on the illustration for “The Furry Mountain Monkeys of Aspen Colorado” |
